Fever Dream - My First Graphic Story
Cover of Fever Dream.

Fever Dream is a tribute to Augusta Ada King, née Byron, Countess of Lovelace. Ada Lovelace was a Victorian mathematician who is credited as the first person to grasp the potential for computers beyond numerical calculation. She is widely considered to have authored the world’s first computer program in 1843.

This graphic short story is a speculative account of the mysterious final conversation between Ada and her husband William, the Earl of Lovelace, in London on August 30, 1852. The details of their conversation are unknown, but it was the last time they would see each other before she died of cervical cancer on November 27, 1852.
